I figured out why it’s doing it. It is assuming that I stupidly added a space at the end of my sentence and it is backing up over the space to put the punctuation. But when I type like a normal literate person I already know the end of the sentence has come and I don’t type an extra space...

…or other final punctuatio. Like right then, I SWEAR I typed the “n”, then the period but it erases the n and replaces it with the period. This is driving me crazy.

Hmmmmm…. Could have sworn I had the “l” after the “u” and before the exclamation mark. I’ve noticed this happens all the time. When I make the final punctuation it replaces the last letter rather than coming after it. I am going to post this in the technical section.
