    Cleaning the inside of windshields

I'm not sure I understand how his tips are any easier; he makes a big deal in the beginning of how awkward it is to crawl around and reach the entire windshield... Yet you still have to do that with his method. Still... The small squeegee without metal edges is a good idea. Just as we have...

    Airplane recommendation

Grumman Cheetah or Piper PA28-235 fixed pitch variant would seem to be good options, too.

Are high vs low wing preferences generic or colored by specific designs?

Did the first 14 hours of my training back in 2004 in a 152, then another 15 in a 172, but have flown a PA28-140 Piper ever since. Enjoyed them all, and have no clear preference. I tend to enjoy the positives of each design, rather than dwell on the drawbacks. I still can't decide what my next...

    Understood. Thanks for the reply.

Feedback requested on minimum performance of a VTOL aircraft.

If such a beast ever becomes available with those numbers, Jim, I'd be on it immediately. Going up to $50K-$60K wouldn't be out of the question if increased speed/range were possible. I have a 40 minute drive to the airport. It'd be a LOT more fun to make it a 15-20 minute flight! Required...

Feedback requested on minimum performance of a VTOL aircraft.

Sounds like an excellent way to get from home TO a plane hangared elsewhere for those of us who don't have a strip on our property or live more than a few minutes by car from our planes, not to mention the fun aspect of being able to go for short, spontaneous recreational flights. The catch is...

Still looks plenty crisp and vibrant on a 7" tablet. Thanks for your work.

    Flying pictures worth sharing.

Here's a few more, albeit not as professional or beautiful as the gorgeous pro pictures posted by others. First, more of a perspective shot on Beck's Grove... ... and one of a portion of the east coast of Lake Ontario, with an inland pond (Sandy Pond/Sandy Creek area)... .. and one...

We've spent many, many trips tent camping on the OBX, both at Oregon Inlet, and down in the campground right near Billy Mitchell near Hatteras ... Billy Mitchell Although I've visited that airport and Kitty Hawk/FFA quite a few times, it was always during car trips; never flown into either...

    Airplane Value

I didn't even list mine. I had mentioned to my A&P friend that I was considering selling it. Two days later the phone rang with an offer and I took it, knowing that it represented about my total purchase price plus the money I spent on redoing the interior, adding a Stratus ESG, and a four place...

    Airplane Value

I'd bet your Cardinal would go higher than that. Here's a Cessna 150 w/ 1600 smoh... for $100K!!!! Really? edit: ... the "Really?" above is a link. Referencing an earlier post about making links stand out more... now I see what they were talking about. Is there any way links COULD be a much...

    Airplane Value

NEVER sell an airplane without researching market value first. Wooof. I was happy that I got my money out of the plane. I had NO idea what a humble PA28-140 was going for these days, and just priced my plane according to my costs to buy it plus the upgrades. Of course... if someone else would...

The PA28-140. It's longer than it looks in that pic... 3000' ... but due to the trees we always treat it like a short... very short.. field. It really isn't a problem, except that there's no place to land if you have an engine failure soon after takeoff. There's a nice trail in the woods with...
