    Inop flap indicator

An inop flap indicator could be considered hazardously misleading informations, which is normally a big no-no. The counter argument is that the pilot can visually see the position of the flaps in a cessna 150, right?... and probably shouldn't rely solely on the flap indicator anyway. I don't...

The rate of near misses and the effective cost of a collision.

ADS-B is far more expensive than Mode C. Even moreso if the aircraft doesn't have the gold-plated approved GPS. Believe it or not, but airplanes fly just fine without certified GPS equipment. And unlike Mode C, ADS-B is not used for collision avoidance. And given the fact that ADS-B messages...

The rate of near misses and the effective cost of a collision.

Apply a similar analysis to the installation of backup cameras on cars. (it is now a requirement that all new cars have backup cameras) A number of years ago the number of fatalities was 200 annually. The estimated cost to install a camera: $200 The number of new cars sold recently were...

    Landing the Cherokee 140

My concern would be still having enough airflow over the stabilator. I've been trying to remember any specific settings I used with my 140 on final. I keep coming back to set an RPM (1600 rpm? 1700 rpm?) and target airspeed (about 65 knots) but then adjust it to keep a stabilized approach...

    Landing the Cherokee 140

Except won't vortex generators lower the stall speed of the 140?

    Landing the Cherokee 140

I don't believe so. My understanding that It's not turbulence that degrades stabilator authority, rather the stabilator isn't large enough (the 140 has a smaller stabilator than the 180, for example)

    Landing the Cherokee 140

The vortex generators make it not exactly a 140. Do those vortex generators make any difference wrt stabilator authority? Having enough elevator was a significant factor in how my stock 140 landed.

Recent review of the studies on using masks to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.

well, given how masks were worn (as chin straps or just covering the mouth) and the performance of the masks (e.g., homemade vs real masks).... what would anyone expect?

    Tapping on the altimeter

Maybe you could pull the sparkplug wire off one cylinder... Just kidding. If it were my airplane, I'd be tempted to put in a new altimeter.

Is This Greeting Card in Bad Taste?

ok. but now for the nitpicking. It's a certificate, not a license. And it's a checkride rather than "test" (right?) or is it called a test now?

    Starship Flight Test Poll

It could be argued (afterall, this is the interweb) that all 6 votes were correct. There was a water landing and the claim is that the launch was "successful" because it cleared the tower and they collected data.
