The abrupt closure of a Virginia flight school left at least one student out her life savings, among an as-yet-unknown number of customers and vendors affected by an August 6 bankruptcy filing.

Obviously the owner was a bad guy. Though I am not sure the prosecution for tax evasion will help the real victims get their money back.

Owner of defunct Virginia flight school faces prison

The owner of a recently shuttered Virginia flight school agreed on August 16 to plead guilty to a federal tax evasion charge punishable by five years in prison.
