Am I the only one?

While renewing my medical I asked if it would be possible to get the old style medical certificate instead of the new web printout.

The AME asked why I would want that instead of the new one and I explained to him that the new type smears the ink all over that plastic window insert that I keep it in, making it difficult to read after a few weeks of being in my wallet.

He said that no one else has complained of such an issue and that it must be my wallet insert that is causing the problem.

So am I the only one having this issue with the new medical printouts?

Note: I'm using the AOPA Ramp Pass Wallet Insert.
 
Suggest your AME get a better printer, better ink for it, or verify they are using the right printer/paper combination. Perhaps show him or her your last medical to him so he or she could see the problem.
