P PPC1052 New member Aug 7, 2014 #1 Last night, the circuit breaker for my alternator popped. (1976 C177 B ). We pushed it back in, and everything seemed to work ok. Any ideas what might be the culprit and how to trouble shoot it?

As to the technical content you've so far posted to this thread in support of your recommendations, I am curious about the theory of electrons swimming upstream.
