FSDO examiner Scottsdale

Has anyone recently had luck with scheduling the exam for an add-on or first CFI with an inspector from the Scottsdale FSDO? Or do they always refer to a DPE these days?

FSDO’s don’t have examiners. They have ASI’s (Inspectors) who can administer examinations.
