The premise of the video, that the two phrases are essentially synonymous, is bogus. Only in bad teaching would anyone claim that "hearty" and "cordial" are synonyms with otherwise "unnoticed" nuances - excepting when trying to make some dubious point about history.

The class(room) struggle continues....
