I've purchased a lot of computer equipment over the years from Tiger Direct. But the last laptop we purchased was at a local electronics retail outfit.

I have traded with TigerDirect many times, like their service.

Only wrinkle is, now that they have retail stores in Texas, I presume that they will charge sales tax.

NewEgg is good.

One other thing about Tiger Direct: avoid going into their retail stores if there is a supernatural "artifact" anywhere about - the laptop you buy might kill you. (A store of theirs was used prominently in a "Warehouse 13" episode.)
