NTSB report: Florida crash due to BAD TRANSPONDER!

NOW We know what the cause was!

The transponder on the plane that crashed into a Florida grocery store last week with two Illinois men aboard had malfunctioned earlier, according to a preliminary report released today by the National Transportation Safety Board.

As always, there was a chain of events, starting with not filing a flight plan!

I've had ATC ask me to cycle the thing, those murderous bastard!

Just remember to squawk 7400 to indicate transponder failure, and you'll be okay.

I thought 8888 was the squawk code for transponder failure?
