Question regarding building an experimental aircraft

Just for general knowledge. Say I want to buy an aircraft that's only available as experimental. If I don't have time to build it myself and I don't trust some guy some build it in his hanger, are there any professional companies out there that specialize in building experimental aircraft for you?

Thanks

The official answer is "no" -- you have to do at least 51% of the work yourself.
The rule does not limit the 51% of work to a single amateur. Several amateurs can (and often do) contribute.

For the straight scoop and all the gory details, including where and when commercial help can be used, the OP should review the FAA Advisory Circular on this subject: http://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC 20-27G.pdf
