Runway incursion problems

Not sure of the magnitude (looks like the article is behind a paywall).
But, on a similar vein, I came across some audio/video of an incident yesterday that would be classified as an incursion...when I listened to the recording, I could totally understand how this pilot made his mistake. The first time I listened, I honestly thought the pilot did nothing wrong, until I listened the second time.

A lot of that confusion has to do with non standard terminology. When I hear “line up and wait” I think it means the standard thing. I don’t think I can take off until I hear “cleared for takeoff”.
