Funny, I just looked them up. On there website no info on employment, and google vanilla sky employment/careers, nothing current comes up. Only thing is from 2011 when they started operations.
That's what I get for doing a simple copy-and-paste to the Google search field in my browser. It brought up a filled-in currency converter and I failed to look at the units.
I can only presume that a base pay is not to be construed as a salary, but stipend for being available for flying each year. (Otherwise the lack of pilots is trivially obvious.) Looking more closely, I see that the base pay seems to cover the first 70 hours of flying (650,000/70 = 9286 yen/hour. About $91/hour for the initial 3 month trainee period.)
* Base Pay : Refer to table shown below* Flight Pay : 70 hours included
* Overtime Pay : JPY 15,000 per hour beyond 70 hours (taxable)
* Contract Completion Bonus (CCB : \2,000,000 upon completion of year 3
: \2,000,000 upon completion of year 5
So the flight pay after the first 70 hours is JPY 15,000/hr =~ $148/hr. The question is how many hours a year will an A320 captain expect to fly with Vanilla Air?
