I'm not sure "like" is an appropriate response to the last two posts.... I, for one, sure don't "like" the exponentially increased restrictions on our heretofore constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms, but I take some small solace in reading others being similarly depressed about it...

Looks to me that they are offering a specific block amount of rental, flight instruction, and ground instruction time, at a package price with no implied guarantee of completion. That may be what is stated in the fine print at the bottom; if not, it should be. At least compared to my CFI's rates...

Signed, but man, I hate all the excess garbage on that petition site. Worthy cause, nonetheless.

My sister was an "Emotional Intelligence Life Coach" as one of her many unsuccessful forays into gainful employment. Hence my jaded opinion of the term. Both terms actually... I'm skeptical of "life coach" too.

"Emotional Intelligence" has always struck me as similar to "jumbo shrimp" or "approximately accurate." Alone, each word/quality has a place and is valued. When paired, they become meaningless.

I WISH a natural aversion to loud noise was much more a part of our DNA. That would eradicate a large amount of worthless popular "music." :)

Not to show my lack of knowledge or experience (that's way too easy), but rather to continue learning.... Would there have been a way to maintain control of the aircraft? One of the emergency exercises my CFI had me do involved simulated loss of yoke control (broken cable, snapped u-joints...

I do a runup to 2000rpm prior to the first take off after starting the engine and taxiing... mag checks, carb heat, fuel pressure, oil temp, suction, ammeter, then to idle and additional carb heat check.

These days, the competition for the latter two bullet points would seem to be characterized as a "race to the bottom." I haven't been on a commercial flight since BCv ("Before Covid"), though...perhaps things have changed. However, as long as an airline can get me where they promised to take me...

I know a lead alto sax player who is always rushin'.....(rim shot)....
