Why don’t they just come out and say it. People that look like women are caught “packing” - something, and then complain when they’re subjected to additional scrutiny. So now we all get “advanced imaging” so our privates are even more finely outlined in detail? Great.

Come to think of it one of my CFIs hit power lines and everyone survived. C172, coming in to a landing in a field, hit the lines, flipped it upside down. Only injury was the pax in the back got a broken leg.

The story has been updated. They’ve been rescued but did suffer injuries and hypothermia. They are extremely lucky, what are the odds of surviving hitting a tower and/or power lines?

Exactly, but admitting that government could be making things worse is not politically useful, to the politicians and bureaucrats who are mostly reacting to public pressure to “do something”.

I’ve not read the official reports of any of these accidents but I’m having trouble believing lack of an FAA medical was the cause of any of these. Accidental fires, weather (including wind) and collisions with power lines are the overwhelming majority of causes. Maybe pilot error and poor...
