Been seeing local campaign signs for a Mike Derby for a South Dakota House position. The last name triggered memory of the famous Kirward Derby of my boomer childhood. Asked my wife if she remembered it, but she did not even though she had watched episodes of the same TV show. A bit of web searching got us reacquainted with some of the characters of decades past.
