Getting to the Tetons this year involved flying further east that my normal route to remain VFR.

Flaming Gorge National Park

Had to fly through a line of Virga showers, which frightened me a bit when lightning started to appear a ways off my right wing tip.

Final jog was over the mountains from near Pinedale to the west toward Alpine. I had to pass though a pass without a road between Deadman Mountain and Mt. McDougall.

I did finally then head north and landed at Jackson Hole airport. Always a privilege to fly over such beautiful country. As one can tell from some of these pictures, this trip was in my 1969 Cardinal without struts.
