medical certificate questions

hi, I'm interested in becoming a pilot but I tried marijuana a month ago. will this prevent me from getting my medical certificate to train? also, i have light asthma but it has never been diagnosed could this be a problem? thank you

No.

Unless you've been cited or arrested for using it. And don't be under its effects when flying.

If you've never been diagnosed with asthma, it should not be a problem. This is what the AME guide says:

Urine is common they are only checking for sugar.

Close. From the "Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners":

"8. Standard physician diagnostic instruments and aids including those necessary to perform urine testing for albumin and glucose and those to measure height and weight."
