Last night at the EAA VMC Club meeting in Chandler we had an off-airport presentation of Operation Raincheck. This program is normally about pilots being able to visit the TRACON and Tower at major airports. It is immensely popular here in Phoenix and I have not been able to get into one at KPHX.
This was a very interesting program which talked about how they control the traffic, what their maps look like, and what the job is like.
If you have a chance to attend one as a pilot, I can highly recommend it.
