Oshkosh 2023

I will not be going this year. But that is sort of a short visit Jim, isn't it?
It is the same amount of time as my last visit. I'll meet up with two brothers and a college buddy of my oldest brother in Arden hills, MN and we drive to Oshkosh starting early on Tuesday (get in shortly before noon) and drive back on Thursday morning. We stay at Ripon College. Previously I took commercial flights to Minneapolis but this time I plan to fly myself from Rapid City (KRAP) to Anoka County (KANE) airport.
Crystal is of course a charming old airport nearby.
I'll look into it.
Of course Anoka County is interesting historically because I believe that was the old factory where the WWII CG-4A combat gliders were built. I just think that Crystal is a nicer small old GA airport.
One factor is the travel time to my brother's house in Arden Hills by car. Anoka is 9 minutes while Crystal is 17 minutes. Downtown St. Paul airport is 15 minutes.
