Possibly a structural problem? The left wing appeared to be folding up and back well before the angle of attack got unreasonably steep. Once the wing started twisting back it appeared to force plane to pitch up steeply. I've seen those ag planes at work and they seem to fly similar climbs at the end of a low level run.

Too hard a pull up or a pre-existing structural problem?
10 to 1 excessive corrosion and poor maintenance. The chemicals used in ag ops are very corrosive. Unfortunately a lot of ag ops down south through to SA are on the lower scale of economics. This used to be common up here but that was many decades ago. However, even the local brand ag aircraft are still susceptible to these type incidents. Here's one from Brazil but the pilot made it out. The link has a couple videos of it.
