Researching ISP alternates

Where can I look to find alternates, competitors?
Prefer DSL, wifi (not satellite)

You might check the various cell phone carriers to see which ones have 3G or 4G coverage in your area. For example, when I plug your zip code into the coverage tool for Verizon, you may or may not be able to use their 3G service, dependinb on your exact location in that zip code area:
