LIMA, Peru (AP) — A LATAM Airlines plane taking off from Lima's international airport struck a firetruck on the runway and caught fire Friday. Authorities said the plane's passengers and crew were all safe, but two firefighters in the truck were killed.

The video I posted is a composite from several recordings from different angles. At 0:27 one angle shows two fire trucks racing toward the runway and the first one is hit. Another segment beginning at 1:08 is a view recorded by a person on the ground of two fire trucks with their sirens on and presumably a command car racing by. The recorder tries to keep the fire trucks in view, thereby capturing the collision at about 1:34.
Clearly the fire trucks were responding to a call but either they failed to get clearance from ground to cross the runway or clearance was erroneously given.
