I was wondering, is there a way to go backin time to see old TAF/metars?

If so, how? Where?

There is allegedly a link in the following page that contains archived NWS data:

http://aviationweather.gov/static/faq/

At the moment the link takes you to a government shutdown page. Presumably computers that run for free render that notice, while computers that cost money to run contain the historical data.
