Just finished the 20 question test for the instrument add-on to my CFI. A few hours of flying to get finished I understand. I also went ahead and did the Instrument Ground Instructor test since it is largely the same question bank.

This has turned out to be a much bigger project than I anticipated.
For about 6 months impossible to find a DPE. When finally found, I then had to find an instructor with the time. This led me to doing the training in a new airplane type, an SR20, with a glass panel. So I had to get used to all that,

Well I finally passed the checkride. I actually had some fun on this one though it was challenging. The stack near Casa Grande AZ is always a joy.
And no, it was nowhere even close to 3 hours of flight training. Much much more. I can say I more instrument proficient than I have ever been.
