Ex-UK Military Pilots Paid to Help PRC Military

One can imagine that the PRC wouldn't fully trust them. Wouldn't it be obvious they could be feeding the PRC not-quite-correct information and providing intel back to the UK?

In World War II one of the more effective tactics to get information from American POWs was after initial questioning, a fluent English speaking Wehrmacht officer to go in and talk to the POW. The Wehrmacht officer would look through the file and essentially claim they already knew everything and just just talk about movies or baseball, usually claiming they had studied in some US city and loved American "culture." Eventually that could morph into salient intel without the POW ever knowing they said anything.

It is doubtful the PLA would come right out and ask for something classified. Their technique would more likely be to flatter the person and get them to tell stories. Or simply compromise them while there and blackmail them later -- or both.
